EIMA 2024: DIECI once again takes the top spot on the podium with the innovative Fast Attach

DIECI once again took the top spot on the podium for the prestigious EIMA Technical Innovation Award, the all-Italian agriculture and gardening initiative that recognises and commends the most innovative products proposed by the industry each year.

After the success it enjoyed at the two previous editions, the Emilian company’s team once again received this important award for its innovative work with the unique Fast Attach system, which was conceived, designed, and developed to expedite and simplify equipment changes on telehandlers.

Don’t miss out on this innovation! We’ll be present at EIMA 2024, from 6 to 10 November. Come and check out the latest DIECI innovation in Hall 36 / Stand A4.

How the need to develop the Fast Attach arose

Telehandlers are versatile, efficient and high-performance means of transport used in the agricultural, construction, mining, and emergency services sectors to expedite heavy duty work operations, and are capable of adapting to different operating needs.

One of the strengths that these vehicles offer is the possibility of mounting specific equipment ideal for handling people or objects, such as buckets, forks, blades, grippers, winches, baskets, and hooks, or even highly sector-specific solutions, such as rotating log grabs.

Currently, in order for interchangeable equipment to be connected in a complete and correct manner, 3 types of equipment-machine connections must be completed.

The correct integration between the telehandler and the equipment and its proper functionality are only guaranteed when all three connections are completed:

  • In the case of hydraulic movements that can be controlled from the cab, the equipment and the boom are connected via a series of hoses, which allow the actuators to receive hydraulic power from the telehandler;
  • The connections for the actuators associated with any solenoid valves present on the equipment (electric movements), needed to carry out electrical/electronic controls in total safety, must be imported through a series of electrical cables;
  • Mechanical coupling, on the other hand, is carried out from the cab or by remote control, while interlocking can be performed manually.

Although extremely useful for equipping your telehandler with specialised equipment whenever needed, this manual operation slows down the work cycle and decreases productivity. To overcome this problem and support the industry, the DIECI R&D team has designed and developed the innovative Fast Attach system.

DIECI Fast Attach: simplicity, speed, and profitability

As the winner of the EIMA 2024 Technical Innovation Award, the Fast Attach is the innovative quick coupling system developed by DIECI that allows mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical connections to be completed in a single movement.

Using this interface, the operator no longer needs to intervene manually, and instead can carry out all the operations directly from the cab or via remote control, resulting in:

  • Equipment changes in just 10 seconds;
  • Immediate machine set-up;
  • Automation of the entire process, allowing the equipment to be mounted on the telehandler effortlessly.

It can be retrofitted to existing telehandlers and is adaptable to specific company needs. This solution offers operators additional practical advantages, ensuring improved:

  • Safety, with the complete elimination of manual operations;
  • Maintenance, by minimising leaks and seepage;
  • Cost-effectiveness, by expediting and optimising each work cycle.

The innovative Fast Attach interface thus offers industry leaders the opportunity to once again revolutionise and optimise the way they work, ensuring even greater productivity, control, and worker protection. Transport your company into the future, focusing on simplicity, functionality and success, with DIECI technology!

Come and discover the future of telehandlers at EIMA 2024: the DIECI team will be awaiting you from 6 to 10 November, in Hall 36 / Stand A4.

EIMA Technical Innovation and DIECI: a story of numerous successes

Established in 1968 at the behest of FederUnacoma, the EIMA Technical Innovation Award was created to recognise companies that invest ideas, talent, and research in the development of solutions that are increasingly advanced in terms of productivity, safety, and environmental sustainability.

Now in its ninth edition, the competition is open to all EIMA exhibitors that have created machinery, accessories, or components designed to optimise, innovate, or revolutionise the production processes of companies operating in the agricultural and gardening sectors, thus improving the quality of the operators’ work.

Always putting the needs of the customer companies first, over the years DIECI has invested countless resources in the development and production of highly advanced solutions, for which it has already received prestigious awards on two separate occasions, with:

  • the Adaptive Load Sensing (ALS) system, developed in partnership with Walvoil, which minimises energy dispersion within the telehandler’s hydraulic system, thus improving vehicle efficiency and reducing wear and consumption;
  • the Hybrid Boost System, a solution that combines sustainability and efficiency, protecting the environment and significantly reducing energy waste.

With the Fast Attach system, DIECI won first place for the third consecutive edition, obtaining an important recognition of its ongoing commitment and determination to bring innovative and advantageous solutions to the market, helping companies set themselves apart and improve their productivity.
